The Big House
‘The Big House’, as it became affectionately known during the build, lives up to its name – a 120 m2 loft style space, unique on the island.
There is a well-appointed kitchen and adjacent dining space, under an imposing vaulted ceiling, with panoramic views over the Sound towards Ensay, Killegray and Pabbay. This is contrasted by a comfortable reading area and snug, warmed by a solid fuel stove.
There are a number of distinct seating areas, providing ample space to read, knit, chat, watch a movie or simply take in the view.
The en-suite facilities comprise a shower room and Japanese style soaking tub – big enough for two!
The Other House
‘The Other House’ maintains the sense of space, with southerly views across the islets of Gilsay, Lingay and Groay to the hills of North Uist. The bay windowed kitchen is delineated from the vaulted living area by a breakfast/dining bar.
Situated on the northern side of the property, the bedroom provides a contrasting calm and cozy feel. Ensuite facilties feature a combined Japanese tub and rain shower.
Both our one-bedroomed accommodation units are offered for a maximum of two persons.
We regret that we are unable to accommodate pets or guests under 18.
